The locals in the horse country of northern Westchester hope Bill[1] and Melinda Gates[2]’ daughter Jennifer loves coyotes.

The Microsoft billionaires bought the elite equestrian a 125-acre horse farm in North Salem for $15.8 million — and it comes complete with a pack of howling coyotes.

“We hear them every night,” said one neighbor. “But we don’t like them. They eat small dogs and cats.”

A 5-year-old girl was bitten by a rabid coyote at a park in Mount Pleasant last week.

Jennifer, 22, who is graduating from Stanford, might not want coyotes scaring her horses. But the varmints can’t be removed off-season without a permit from the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation, which demands proof the coyote is threatening public welfare or safety.

The Gateses didn’t get back to me.
