Robert De Niro[1] can afford to curse out President Trump[2] every chance he gets — without fear of losing parts or losing audience — because he’s 74 and has already won two Oscars.

“People of his stature, like Meryl Streep and Bruce Springsteen, can speak out without fear of retribution,” said producer Adam Fields, who worked with De Niro on “Limitless.” “Their careers are unassailable. They are icons.”

De Niro — dubbed “Punchy” and called “a very Low IQ individual” by Trump[3] on Tuesday — wasn’t ad-libbing when he shouted, “F - - k Trump!” at the Tonys[4] on Sunday. The Raging Bull has been calling Trump foul-mouthed names[5] since before the election.

Last Thursday, at an event where scholarships were awarded to public schoolchildren, De Niro called Trump a “son of a bitch” whose every utterance is “bulls - - t” and said, “F - - k Trump!”

“Several people got up and walked out,” one witness told me. “One woman, as she got to the door, yelled, ‘You got no class. You got no class.’ ”

Matthew Rich, a PR man who has worked on Trump projects for 20 years, said he is “sickened” when De Niro F-bombs the president. But he doesn’t think De Niro has to worry about a boycott.

Rich told me, “People will go see a De Niro film no matter how they voted, and he knows it.”
