Like swallows returning to a relocated Capistrano, the cosseted cognoscenti are quietly slipping into the new Four Seasons restaurant on East 49th Street.

Henry Kissinger[1] lunched there Tuesday and the former State Department secretary, who is 95 and uses a cane, was allowed to use a special door on 48th Street to avoid having to go up and down stairs.

Kissinger, who was praised for his eloquent eulogy of Sen. John McCain[2], was seated near the tables of legendary TV host Dick Cavett and Saudi Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud.

Grandee guests traversing the flagstone floors the following day included Marie-Josée Kravis, president of the Museum of Modern Art, and real estate baron Jerry Speyer, whose company controls Rockefeller Center and a stake in the Chrysler Building.
