Sir Paul McCartney[1] and wife Nancy Shevell[2] are apartment hunting uptown, according to the clues in Realtor Wendy Sarasohn’s weekly newsletter.

The Brown Harris Stevens broker reports she was scheduled to show a terraced penthouse facing Central Park to “the über famous Sir X” and “his beautiful younger wife.”

“I decided to throw on a black blazer by a British designer thinking by keeping it in the family, the penthouse might strike just the right note.” (Paul’s daughter Stella is a British designer.)

Before departing, Sir X shook her hand. “I got to hold his hand one last time,” she wrote. One of The Beatles’ first hits was “I Want To Hold Your Hand.”

Sarasohn would not confirm she was referring to McCartney, but told me: “You are a great detective.”

The couple might be downsizing from the five-bedroom duplex penthouse at 1045 Fifth Ave. they bought three years ago for $15.5 million.[3]
