On February 17 2015, Joseph Edgar Foreman, aka Afroman, was arrested after sucker punching a woman who was dancing on stage during a concert in Biloxi, Mississippi. Not only does this city have a problem with a Mayor who is a drunkard, it also has a problem with washed up rap stars randomly punching women. This city must have some sort of Bermuda Triangle effect!
Washed up? What? That's too much!? This guy is best known for his 2001 hit "Because I Got High". Now he's known for his 2015 hit -- to the face! The poor woman fell to the ground and he left her in blood and tears (something that Afroman apparently denies by the way.) The crowd was of course shocked and the venue owner quickly shutdown the performance. Police were then called to the scene, Afroman was arrested, booked on an assault charge and later released on a $330 bond -- yeah, chump change for a cheap shot.
A representative of Afroman issued a statement saying, "This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space" adding that, "It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces." Oh, his stage space huh? Well the guy has put on a lot of weight over the years. But, what kind of uncontrollable force was this? The force of complete and utter stupidity?
Afroman later issued an "apology" trying to explain his outrageous behavior. We'll spare the details... but please watch the video below from our friends at TMZ where they spoke to Afroman about the incident.
On February 24, 2015 {modal http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/afroman-retires-after-assaulting-stage-invader-blames-us-government-20150224-13mzms.html}reports{/modal} started floating around that Afroman will retire in light of this recent incident. While this news can be found on multiple websites, true or not, it would definitely make a lot of sense -- who would pay to see this guy play again anyway? Unless people want to pay to watch some amateur boxing!
